     Electricity is integral to every aspect of our lives. It powers home appliances like televisions and refrigerators, facilitates communication through the internet and mobile phones, drives trains and cars, operates hospital equipment, and runs factory machinery. Our modern conveniences and quality of life owe much to electricity, making it as essential as air and water. Thus, it's no exaggeration to say that "the world is powered by electricity." As we face global challenges like climate change, electricity will play a pivotal role in providing solutions. Its evolution will continue, integrating with other technologies such as thermal and chemical processes.

     To foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of electricity, The Committee on Social Engagement of IEEJ was established in 2020. We create educational books and videos, provide materials for electricity experiments, and support local lectures and science classes. Through these activities, we aim to strengthen the bond between electricity and society, making learning about it enjoyable for everyone.
